About the role

Equinor is seeking three Business Controllers to join our finance function in Oslo. You'll work within a large, complex energy organisation, supporting business units with financial planning, analysis, and performance management. This is an onsite role where you'll partner closely with operational and commercial teams to deliver decision-relevant financial insight.

What you'll do

You'll own financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for your assigned business areas. You'll build and maintain financial models that support strategic decision-making, analyse performance against targets, and identify variances that matter. Working with SAP and other financial systems, you'll prepare reports and dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders. You'll be a trusted advisor to operational leaders, helping them understand the financial implications of their decisions and supporting them in achieving business objectives.

Who you are

You bring at least three years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or management accounting within a large or complex organisation. You're proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting, and you have hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP for financial reporting and analysis. You're skilled at translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that resonate with non-finance audiences.

Nice to have: You have a background in the energy, oil & gas, or related industrial sector. You hold a Master's degree in finance, economics, or business administration. You're comfortable navigating large, matrixed organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Why join

Equinor is a global energy company at the forefront of the energy transition. You'll work on meaningful projects that shape the future of energy, supported by a collaborative culture and strong professional development opportunities. Based in Oslo, you'll be part of a talented finance team with access to modern tools and systems. The salary range is 750,000–1,050,000 NOK, commensurate with experience.

You'll need fluency in both English and Norwegian to succeed in this role.
