About the role
We're seeking a Senior Front End Developer to join our engineering team in Oslo on a hybrid basis. You'll take ownership of front end initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions, and help raise engineering standards across the team. This is a role for someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners.
What you'll do
You'll design and build scalable front end solutions using React, working with complex codebases in an enterprise environment. Your responsibilities will include architecting new features, reviewing code to maintain quality standards, and mentoring junior developers. You'll work with modern JavaScript/TypeScript tooling, manage state effectively across applications, and ensure robust testing practices are in place. You'll also collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
Who you are
You have at least 5 years of professional front end development experience, with React as your primary framework. You've worked in large organisations where you've navigated complex codebases and coordinated across multiple teams. You hold a BSc or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
You're proficient in modern JavaScript and TypeScript, comfortable with build systems like Webpack or Vite, and understand how to structure applications for maintainability and performance.
Nice to have: experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, React Query) in production, familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress, comfort taking the lead on architectural decisions, and a track record of mentoring other developers. You thrive in collaborative environments and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
